ANITYA is the first solo album from Tom Scott (Avantdale Bowling Club, Home Brew) — one of the most acclaimed and era-defining New Zealand artists of his generation.
Renowned for his storytelling and electrifying stage presence, Tom Scott is second to none as a music maker and performer. The album’s ten songs confirm Scott’s status as a gifted lyricist with an ear for a great hook, reveling in the expansive possibilities of who he is as a songwriter and producer.
A tale told in two halves, ANITYA is a blend of ambient R&B, dream pop, jazzy and psychedelic folk, and progressive soul.
Recorded with a cast of 30 of the most versatile musicians, vocalists, and beatmakers in his contact list, along with award-winning producer and engineer Ben Lawson (Avantdale Bowling Club, Miloux), ANITYA represents a creative breakthrough for one of Avondale’s finest.
